With Round 3 now over, it's about time we had the mastermind meme!

To those who aren't familiar, this is essentially an AU where your character is the one responsible for Round 3's Mutual Killing Game, and all of the carnage that came with it, from the kidnapping to the motives to the trials to the executions! And now, they have chosen to reveal themselves before the remaining members of their class at the final trial!

As such, you are free to play around with this as much as you would like; did your character make a contract with Kyuubey, or did your character put everyone in the Killing Game for a different reason? What is your character's motivation for bringing despair? What do they intend to get out of this seemingly senseless killing? And what does the rest of the class have to do to stop the madness and go home?

There's probably going to be quite a bit of AUing from your character's original canon happening here to make them into the best harbingers of despair they can be, so feel free to go as nuts with it as you want to! And, of course, feel free to tag others with your character's reaction to their classmate's big reveal; it doesn't matter whether or not your character made it to endgame, have fun and mix up the survivor pool as much as you'd like!

Oh, and feel free to describe your character's sweet new Monobear-themed duds, too!!

Whatever reason you had for setting up this game, however messed up and twisted you may be, I refuse to believe you didn't feel anything besides excitement at others' suffering.

You were my friend, Ryuunosuke. You still are.

[That gets a flinch out of him and Ryuunosuke moves to grip the banister tightly.]

You're wrong - I never-- And I'm not your friend! You can't say something like that when I'm the one who brought you here in the first place! I put you through this! I'm having fun watching you guys suffer! I'm not your friend!

We've been through a lot together, and you're very important to me. I appreciate everything you've done for me, and I'm really glad you're still alive.

What-- Stop it! If you think that's going to make me feel bad about any of this you're wrong!

[He looks kind of horrified though and his words aren't as steady as he'd like them to be.]

I don't want you to feel bad. I mean, I guess I should, but feelings never really work out the way they should, do they?

...No, they kinda don't...

[This was supposed to be easy. Silver, why the hell do you make everything so complicated??]

Look, you know how this is gonna go, right? I'm going to give you the option to escape. Either you all get out or you all stay here. If you all choose to leave, then there's one final execution.

Then let it be me. Let me take your place so you can get out of here with everyone else.

Why? All I've done is hurt you! Why would you ever want to take my place? You've still got a lot of stuff to do in life, why...?

[While the first part sort of explodes out of him the anger fades even as he's speaking, leaving him looking very confused by the end.]

You really think that's all you've done after all this time in here?

You gave me a family. You are my family. You're the reason I'm not alone anymore.

I'm mad as hell at you for what you've done, but I don't want you to die. Not by a long shot. If you think I sound crazy, now you know what killing you sounds like to me.

[Ryuunosuke is silent for a long time, just staring down at Silver. It's obvious he doesn't understand.]

No, but... This whole time I was just tricking you guys. You shouldn't feel like that towards me! I'm not your family - you've got the rest of them! You have seven people here who can be your family, why would you ever want me involved in that?

You can't control how I feel, Ryuunosuke, and neither can I. If you didn't want anyone to care about you, you shouldn't have gotten involved in the first place.

Forget this stupid game and just come with us. Eleven people are dead already. I don't want you to be number twelve.

I can't, that's not how the game works! Either you win or I win and there's no compromises!

[He's gripping the railing hard and he's looking away.]

Neither of us win with either of these options and you know it.

If we all vote to stay, we're stuck in this place forever. [Not that they could vote to stay in the first place. Tsukiyama would have to take them out one by one, and even he'd eventually starve.] If we all vote to leave, we never get to see you again.

If we all vote to stay, you're stuck here too, aren't you? If we all vote to leave, that's it. Everything's over once you die. Either way, you'll never get to feel that excitement again. [...Except for Tsukiyama slaughtering all of them, but. The point still stands. Eventually there will be nothing left.]

[Well technically the school rules would apply, so he could only kill two people!! Probably!!]

Nothing else could ever give me this sort of excitement anyway, so it doesn't matter! It... it doesn't matter, there's nothing for me waiting out there anyway, I can't...

[Something has to get through to Ryuunosuke. Anything. It's difficult to keep calm; the pleading is starting to bleed into his expression and tone no matter how hard he tries to keep his emotions at bay.]

There's worlds and worlds of experiences out there. You'll have us. If not all of us, well- you'll at least have me. Me and Tsukiyama. You know we'll never stop caring about you, don't you?

[Because there is no way in hell that Tsukiyama's going to give up on Ryuunosuke either.]

But that's-- That's not supposed to happen...

[The final chapter isn't supposed to end with him being a sobbing mess, but it looks like it's well on its way there.]

No... You don't get it. This place is controlled by Bluebeard. As long as I'm alive, he lives. I told him to keep the doors closed, though everything. None of you are getting out unless I'm dead. And... and even if I could let you out... It doesn't matter, it's over, there's no point--

[He's shaking badly by now and Ryuunosuke's got his head tipped down and away, like he usually does whenever he's upset.]

Then ask him to open it up. Don't just give up.

[It is taking a monumental effort on Silver's part to keep himself together and hold back from being a sobbing mess himself, but who knows how long that's gonna last?]

Get down here. Come back to us.

I don't... I don't deserve that, why... Why would you...?

[He runs his sleeve across his eyes and tries again.]

It'll be easier on you to do this so you can just move on, stop-- stop it! Just let me die already!

Shut up!

[He is so tired of hearing this, of dealing with this, and here come the tears, but maybe if he just ignores them, maybe-]

Haven't you done enough? You really think we can all just move on and forget about you?

Don't you dare leave us! Don't you leave me!

[...That sure did just come out of his mouth, didn't it. Shit.]

[Ohhhh no. Oh no, this wasn't supposed to happen, this is the exact opposite of what's supposed to happen. Ryuunosuke's hands tighten on the railing for a moment before he abruptly moves. The dim lighting in the room makes it a bit hard to tell, but there are stairs leading down from the balcony and he'll be taking those quickly.]

You... You've still got Tsukiyama, you'll... you'll be okay.

[His voice is hesitant though and Ryuunsouke's shaking by the time he reaches the bottom of the stairs. He's not sure if he should approach. He probably shouldn't.]

You really think he'll be okay if you're gone? That I'll be okay?

[His ribs are still kind of super broken, but he doesn't care. He heads over to Ryuunosuke as quickly as he can, wraps his arms around him, and buries his head in his good shoulder.]

I can forgive you for all of this. It's gonna take time, but I can do it.

[He doesn't care anymore, he's been so thoroughly broken and hurt and used all of his life, and what's a little more of that in the face of someone that's made him feel genuinely happy--?]

I won't forgive you if you leave.

[It hurts like hell and he knows he shouldn't, but as soon as Silver hugs him, Ryuunosuke returns it. He's careful, of course, because Silver's ribs are still broken and he really doesn't want to agitate them any.]

...I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.

[He's surprised to find that he is. He's never felt guilt like this before and it's crushing. How do normal people handle it?]

I... I'll see what I can do, I... I'm sorry...

...Good.

[He can't say it's okay, or that he forgives him. Not yet.

But he grips onto him tightly as if Ryuunosuke's going to leave him the second he lets go. It hurts, but not nearly as much as seeing him gone for good would.]

Come on. Let's get out of here.

I need to talk to him first. Explain things.

[He's got a lot of shit to explain...]

I'll... I'll go handle it in a minute, just...

[Just let him stay like this for a little while longer.]

[Silver fully rests his head in Ryuunosuke as his response. He gets it. A little while like this isn't going to kill anyone.

The two of them can stay like this, just for a little longer.]
