THE MASTERMIND AU
NICK V. CN EDITION

It's time for Nick vs. CN's mastermind meme!

To those who aren't familiar, this is essentially an AU where your character is the one responsible for Nick v CN's Mutual Killing Game, and all of the carnage that came with it, from the kidnapping to the motives to the trials to the executions! And now, they have chosen to reveal themselves before the remaining members of their class at the final trial!

As such, you are free to play around with this as much as you would like; was your character just another pawn in the grand scheme of things, or did your character put everyone in the Killing Game for a different reason? What is your character's motivation for bringing despair? What do they intend to get out of this seemingly senseless killing? And what does the rest of the class have to do to stop the madness and go home?

There's probably going to be quite a bit of AUing from your character's original canon happening here to make them into the best harbingers of despair they can be, so feel free to go as nuts with it as you want to! And, of course, feel free to tag others with your character's reaction to their classmate's big reveal; it doesn't matter whether or not your character made it to endgame, have fun and mix up the survivor pool as much as you'd like!

Oh, and feel free to describe your character's sweet new Monobear-themed duds, too!!

No... you're still missing a few things. After all... yes, it would have been easy-- if he were a normal man. But the person I was going up against was Hawk Moth... someone who was meant to be a superhero as well.

[Marinette scoops up the butterfly Kwami and nudges it towards Sokka.]

...it's alright, you can tell him.

[Looking nervously back and forth for a moment, the purple butterfly finally settles on looking at Sokka, bowing it's head in an awkward, jerky motion.]

I am Nooroo... I am the Hawk Moth Kwami.

Panda, you don't want to do this. I can see that. And I don't want to win this trial and see you die. But if you keep doing this, I will end it the only way I know how: make sure you're executed for your crimes.

[With all the evidence he had, was there enough to save her?

He gives the small Kwami a smile.]

It's nice to meet you, Nooroo... Does someone have to kill to take someone else's Kwami? Or can they just grab it?

[Again it looks back as if checking whether or not it's alright to talk, but Marinette nods and the butterfly answers.]

...you would have a difficult time simply grabbing one of us. However... even if you managed it, a Kwami alone isn't enough.

I... I refuse to ever give into despair Sokka! I don't care if you think it's better that way, and there will always be people who refuse to go into despair!

[Panda looks even more terrified when he hears that, and when he speaks it almost sounds like he's talking to himself.]

It's not the better way. It's the only way. I've gotten used to watching TV while I've been here. Surfing around the internet. All I see is violence, suffering, and killing. Despair is everywhere! Those people who hang onto hope are so few in number compared to the rest of their worlds!

[He lifts a finger up.] I am going to start spreading despair in my world with one single target. And then just move on from there. Katara is going to be in a front row seat when I kill them.

He's been watching this, right? Then he knows I have convicted the killer at every trial I've been a part of. Jinafire and Vlad went down because of me. With my evidence, we voted for the true culprit in that last trial: Monobear.

[It might be a harsh truth.]

So yes, he is. Because I'm your opponent. The other survivors as well. You've seen what we've done together.

Th... there is still a lot of hope in the world, SOkka!

But... who is your target?

[Panda is visibly shaking now.]

But... but what's the point of all this if he was leaving me to die on my first test?

[He's staring at you like you've grown another head, Panda.] I'd think with the evidence you've got it'd be super obvious!

Like I said: he's throwing you away! You've got a huge heart, and you love your friends! Do you even enjoy watching people die?

This is really unexpected. To think Squiduck is the mastermind. Sokka rubs his eyes and finds that this is not a joke. Nope.]

This is really stupid, even for you.

[Was Ren supposed to look like someone important? Sokka doesn't get it... It was hard to understand anything this dog did.]

Why do you think I let myself get killed the first week? I... I didn't want to risk getting attached to any of you guys.

Yup! After all, if I kill him, which he won't expect, the Avatar dies. Then I just have to find the new one. It'd be so easy to raise the new Avatar as a beacon of despair. Of course I'd have to kill anyone coming after me and the kid... but it'd be worth it.

[Awwww! You look like you're about to keel over!]

In the end, that's just one reason I'm doing this. I've got a lot more targets lined up after him.

[He's trying not to grit his teeth.] Getting yourself killed doesn't stop me from thinking of you as my friend.

That... that's horrible Sokka, you can't raise a kid to become your soldier! How can you say any of that and not realize how horrible you sound! And how can you say you plan corupting more people like this?!

[Despite trying his hardest, Panda is now crying.]
