THE MASTERMIND AU
NICK V. CN EDITION

It's time for Nick vs. CN's mastermind meme!

To those who aren't familiar, this is essentially an AU where your character is the one responsible for Nick v CN's Mutual Killing Game, and all of the carnage that came with it, from the kidnapping to the motives to the trials to the executions! And now, they have chosen to reveal themselves before the remaining members of their class at the final trial!

As such, you are free to play around with this as much as you would like; was your character just another pawn in the grand scheme of things, or did your character put everyone in the Killing Game for a different reason? What is your character's motivation for bringing despair? What do they intend to get out of this seemingly senseless killing? And what does the rest of the class have to do to stop the madness and go home?

There's probably going to be quite a bit of AUing from your character's original canon happening here to make them into the best harbingers of despair they can be, so feel free to go as nuts with it as you want to! And, of course, feel free to tag others with your character's reaction to their classmate's big reveal; it doesn't matter whether or not your character made it to endgame, have fun and mix up the survivor pool as much as you'd like!

Oh, and feel free to describe your character's sweet new Monobear-themed duds, too!!

Nope, scratch that. There's a blue dog peeking over the edge of the desk. How'd she get in there? She jumps onto the chair and kicks away the ball that was just sitting there minding its own business.

Awww, how cute! But surely she can't be... ]

[ Huh. Guess she is. Blue holds up your STUDENT HANDBOOK and points to it. ]

[ Wow, Blue sure seems like she means business. But whatever could she want? ]

STUDENT HANDBOOK RULES
Rule 1 Students must find all three clues that Blue has left hidden in her house!
Rule 2 Once the students have found all three clues, they must use the thinking chair to figure out what it is that Blue wants to do!
Rule 3 Students must sing while moving between rooms.

[It's hard to tell if the softness she shows him is genuine or not. Not much about the situation seems to make much sense. Not when just a while ago, she was fighting for her life with them. There had never been anything really protecting her. So how was it that she ended up on this side of things?

In her hands, Marinette plays with a unique pin unlike anything she'd had with her before.]

Let me give you some advice, since you're special. Be careful not to let despair in. Once you do...

[She takes the pin and places it in her hair.]

That actually takes him off guard. Wirt realizes at that moment that he was, perhaps, projecting. That he was still wanting to see something in Sokka that just wasn't there. That, deep down, Sokka would still be fundamentally human in some respects.

He wasn't. Not anymore. Whatever he was, it was entirely monstrous and destructive, too much like the Beast. A part of Wirt wants to think that he isn't entirely wrong, but he can't be sure anymore. Sokka is too wild, too consumed with despair to actually predict.

But Sokka. If you're despair and she's hope, and not just that but someone that could signal hope in someone else, could be that important to someone else and you're showing that she's still alive and that there IS still hope...

Sokka. That was unbelievably dumb of you.

At Sokka's words, Wirt makes his face fall, looking down at the ground for a moment, before looking back up at Sokka, shuddering a little.]

There's...there's really no other way out of this, is there? There's nothing we can say to change your mind?

[Look at him, Sokka. He's starting to get it.
