NICK V. CN EDITION

It's time for Nick vs. CN's mastermind meme!

To those who aren't familiar, this is essentially an AU where your character is the one responsible for Nick v CN's Mutual Killing Game, and all of the carnage that came with it, from the kidnapping to the motives to the trials to the executions! And now, they have chosen to reveal themselves before the remaining members of their class at the final trial!

As such, you are free to play around with this as much as you would like; was your character just another pawn in the grand scheme of things, or did your character put everyone in the Killing Game for a different reason? What is your character's motivation for bringing despair? What do they intend to get out of this seemingly senseless killing? And what does the rest of the class have to do to stop the madness and go home?

There's probably going to be quite a bit of AUing from your character's original canon happening here to make them into the best harbingers of despair they can be, so feel free to go as nuts with it as you want to! And, of course, feel free to tag others with your character's reaction to their classmate's big reveal; it doesn't matter whether or not your character made it to endgame, have fun and mix up the survivor pool as much as you'd like!

Oh, and feel free to describe your character's sweet new Monobear-themed duds, too!!

Maybe when I was a child, but I'm not willing to give terrible people like you a chance!

[He frowns, watching his friend carefully.]

.... Terrible person?

[Once of that there is a flicker of regret.]

Of course! This is your punishment after all!

But.... what did I do?

[He really needs to know.... and depending on the reason, he will fight tooth and nail.]

[Panda looks awkward suddenly, as if trying to recall something.]

Because of your war crimes, disrespect to women, stuff like that.

Hey, I am perfectly respectful to women! Some of my best friends and people I fight beside and trust are women! I used to not be, but people change.

[As for the other.] How am I a war criminal?

[Panda is quiet for a long time as he tries to think of something.]

You've probably killed some innocent people?

.... I know.... I feel awful about it... During war a lot of people die. The bad guys, the good guys, and innocent bystanders... You'd know that if you were ever forced into a war against people who want to wipe your own off of the map.

Don't act like I don't know what pain is like! You don't know what I've been through!

The pain you felt and the pain I felt are different! I know that! The thing is, I told you all about myself and my pain, and you didn't tell me anything where I could have seen the pain you're in!

[He growls at his "friend"]

If you were really my friend, you would have trusted me.

You wanna know what pain I'm in?! Fine! How would you like spending your childhood starving and feeling unloved by everyone but your own brothers! That no matter what you did no one would ever care about you?! And knowing that if you fail this you're going to-

[He suddenly falls into silence, realizing that he's said to much from his anger.]

Die? [Sokka sighs softly.] I don't know what those things I like... I just remember the fear of being the only male in my tribe left to defend all these women and children, hoping everyday that the Fire Nation wouldn't show up and kill us all... waiting for your father to come home even if you didn't know if he was dead or not... We both had rough childhoods. But I wouldn't kill anyone because of it.

He would never kill me...

[But the tone of his voice implies a "he wouldn't be nice enough to just do that"]

[He grumbles a bit.]

Yeah, I do get one thing. You're just a puppet. There's no way Panda, my best friend in this place, could ever come up with something like this. He's not cruel or evil

Seems like he's trying to keep you out of the way while your brother's get the job done properly. It's what happens to people perceived as weak.

My brothers would never think I'm weak! They love me too much!

[There is a chance he might be thinking about other brothers right now.]

If I were to be a mastermind, and happened to be working under someone else... I'd pair up with a family member. If I thought they were pathetic and would get in the way, I'd send them somewhere they can't bother me.

[He's going to keep pushing.]

I'm not bothering anyone! My other brothers are doing the exact same thing right now! It's all a part of His plan!

Pawn. Stooge. Scapegoat. Sucker. Throwaway. Trash. Coward. I could keep going on. I still think that guy is lying to you. You brothers are probably being defeated as we speak.

[Come on, Panda. Slip up.]

You're wrong! They... we can't be defeated! You don't know what He will do to us if we fail hi-!

[Panda suddenly looks horrified, and starts frantically looking around.]

Panda, you don't want to do this. I can see that. And I don't want to win this trial and see you die. But if you keep doing this, I will end it the only way I know how: make sure you're executed for your crimes.

[Panda looks even more terrified when he hears that, and when he speaks it almost sounds like he's talking to himself.]

He... he can't leave me to die, right...?

He's been watching this, right? Then he knows I have convicted the killer at every trial I've been a part of. Jinafire and Vlad went down because of me. With my evidence, we voted for the true culprit in that last trial: Monobear.

[It might be a harsh truth.]

So yes, he is. Because I'm your opponent. The other survivors as well. You've seen what we've done together.

[Panda is visibly shaking now.]

But... but what's the point of all this if he was leaving me to die on my first test?
