THE MASTERMIND AU
NICK V. CN EDITION

It's time for Nick vs. CN's mastermind meme!

To those who aren't familiar, this is essentially an AU where your character is the one responsible for Nick v CN's Mutual Killing Game, and all of the carnage that came with it, from the kidnapping to the motives to the trials to the executions! And now, they have chosen to reveal themselves before the remaining members of their class at the final trial!

As such, you are free to play around with this as much as you would like; was your character just another pawn in the grand scheme of things, or did your character put everyone in the Killing Game for a different reason? What is your character's motivation for bringing despair? What do they intend to get out of this seemingly senseless killing? And what does the rest of the class have to do to stop the madness and go home?

There's probably going to be quite a bit of AUing from your character's original canon happening here to make them into the best harbingers of despair they can be, so feel free to go as nuts with it as you want to! And, of course, feel free to tag others with your character's reaction to their classmate's big reveal; it doesn't matter whether or not your character made it to endgame, have fun and mix up the survivor pool as much as you'd like!

Oh, and feel free to describe your character's sweet new Monobear-themed duds, too!!

From those files and that book he wanted something from the both of you. He probably knew your secret identities. Which... I think I know what's going on now.

That's right... he knew who we were. Our files pretty much prove as much. [So he has a theory already. Considering how little he knew about their situation before today, it's still impressive. Then again, it's as she thought-- if anyone could do it... it was him.]

[Please let him hope he's wrong. Please don't let it be like those other trials where his theories were right, where the little clues would lead to him... Sokka doesn't want to be the reason someone else he cares for dies.... this was for survival. Just think of that.]

... There's only one reason I can see that picture and locket of the same woman being there. He loved her. I'm going to assume she was his wife. [Please. Just be wrong.] You found out... you found out he was Adrien's father... I can see why you killed him. He let his own son die in this place.

[Is he getting close? He's got more theories, but he's waiting for her reaction.]

He loved her very much. Enough that he was willing to do anything in order to bring her back. To do that, he needed two particular Miraculous-- Adrien's and mine. You were all innocent people he was willing to let die in order to obtain those two items. Seems a little over the top, doesn't it? But that's how he's always done things. He finds people he can use and tries to use them against us.

[Marinette looked more and more pained the longer she goes on until finally...]

Gabriel Agreste... He's a man I greatly admired, you know. As a designer. At least I did before I realized what he really was. But that just goes to show... talent doesn't make you great.

[All that pain is heartbreaking to see. Sokka bites the inside of his cheek so he doesn't blurt out something stupid while she rants about this... awful man.]

So it was the cane you used to kill him? Your ability would make it easy for you to get a lucky hit that would kill him instantly in... [He looks at the little Kwami.]

No... you're still missing a few things. After all... yes, it would have been easy-- if he were a normal man. But the person I was going up against was Hawk Moth... someone who was meant to be a superhero as well.

[Marinette scoops up the butterfly Kwami and nudges it towards Sokka.]

...it's alright, you can tell him.

[Looking nervously back and forth for a moment, the purple butterfly finally settles on looking at Sokka, bowing it's head in an awkward, jerky motion.]

I am Nooroo... I am the Hawk Moth Kwami.

[With all the evidence he had, was there enough to save her?

He gives the small Kwami a smile.]

It's nice to meet you, Nooroo... Does someone have to kill to take someone else's Kwami? Or can they just grab it?

[Again it looks back as if checking whether or not it's alright to talk, but Marinette nods and the butterfly answers.]

...you would have a difficult time simply grabbing one of us. However... even if you managed it, a Kwami alone isn't enough.
