THE MASTERMIND AU
NICK V. CN EDITION

It's time for Nick vs. CN's mastermind meme!

To those who aren't familiar, this is essentially an AU where your character is the one responsible for Nick v CN's Mutual Killing Game, and all of the carnage that came with it, from the kidnapping to the motives to the trials to the executions! And now, they have chosen to reveal themselves before the remaining members of their class at the final trial!

As such, you are free to play around with this as much as you would like; was your character just another pawn in the grand scheme of things, or did your character put everyone in the Killing Game for a different reason? What is your character's motivation for bringing despair? What do they intend to get out of this seemingly senseless killing? And what does the rest of the class have to do to stop the madness and go home?

There's probably going to be quite a bit of AUing from your character's original canon happening here to make them into the best harbingers of despair they can be, so feel free to go as nuts with it as you want to! And, of course, feel free to tag others with your character's reaction to their classmate's big reveal; it doesn't matter whether or not your character made it to endgame, have fun and mix up the survivor pool as much as you'd like!

Oh, and feel free to describe your character's sweet new Monobear-themed duds, too!!

Moving on doesn't mean forgetting those people and you know that!

I know you feel like your friends betrayed you and that they need to pay for what happened. You're not the only one who's had to fight their friends. But that doesn't mean you ever stop caring for them. I think more than anything, this was your way of reassuring yourself that your way was right. After all... our deaths wouldn't help you. And aside form that, you also had no reason to care if we lived.

[Marinette's not a puzzle type girl. Sure she was more of a leader than Cat Noir was in their pair, but that was a whole different type of scenario. But because of who she's facing... she's going to give it her all. Failure... failure is the thing she fears most here.]

That's why... I want to show you that you're wrong. But that doesn't mean it has to be over.

[Sokka seems to be deep in thought as the silence stretches on between them. The bear starts to laugh before he's waved off.]

[That shuts the Monobear up as it cowers behind the throne in fear.]

Pushing you away is the only thing I can do. If you stick around, you'll wind up like her. I still remember the day we met, how she beat me up, when we met up again much later... Did I ever tell you my first girlfriend turned into the moon back home? [It's said more comically than anything.] My friends from back home are why I'm here. All they ever did was say "I'm sorry. We're here for you. We didn't know that would happen."

[He gets up abruptly and crosses the small distance between him and Marinette, slamming his fist on the glass in front of her.]

My little henchman is right, though. Some of that evidence you found... well, it's not going to help you here. You want my reason? Better start guessing.
