- Through some happenstance or another, you've ended up coming into contact with the Future Foundation. Was it by accident? Through a friend in their employment? Or maybe they came to you for help? The particulars don't really matter now. The important part is that you've either volunteered you're services to them or been volunteered in turn and now you're here for your first day as an agent. Well, a trainee agent. After all, today's your orientation and initiation day. How exciting!
Take the chance to wander around and settle into this huge base of operations and get to know your fellow agents. Maybe they're newbies like you or maybe you'll run into one of the permanent staff members.
Either way you'd better settle in good and proper because you're going to be here for a while. No one said beating Despair on a multiversal scale was going to be easy, after all.
1. Post a toplevel with anyone you like! This is basically just a big mingle for whoever wants to join so you don't have to have been part of DRRP proper at any point.
2. Tag around and cause shenanigans
3. uh i guess i didn't really need more than two points for this did i
4. JUST HAVE FUN OK

Now it's an agility game - the Pokemon's anatomy is just feline enough to allow fluid leaps, and flips that Mewtwo follows through with the weight of its tail, and he jabs and slashes as he goes, ducking around Sho and hunting for an opening. There's no tricks with the spoon this time; just strikes and blocks that come quicker and fiercer the longer they go.]

Sho IS human though, he will wear down first if there's no break. You wouldn't guess by looking at him though, with how he's laughing like a kid in a candy store]

"Letting" Sho win, or even keep matching it, by dialing back its ability doesn't even cross Mewtwo's mind. Instead, to keep the game going, it ends one clash by flipping back, crouching, and looking Sho in the eye - then it darts back, as though trying to flee, turning the dynamic of battle so Sho is on the offensive.
Catch it if you can!]

So of course he gives chase.]
Hey, get back here! Don't make me have to think up a pussy joke!!

But once Sho starts attacking, Mewtwo can start blocking, doing just as Sho had been seconds earlier. And it'll keep going, prolonging the game, until Sho either puts a scratch on it or gives up.
Not an easy feat, but neither is it an impossible one. There's a lot of Mewtwo to hit, and without flying out of reach, raising a Barrier, or changing the shape of its spoon, jumping around can only get it so far.]

Mewtwo is heavy, but it's legs look like they might be a weak point. Especially since Sho knows it usually hovers]

Gotcha!
[And leaving himself hella open doing it- but hey, defense was never his strong point]

Those swords can come down. They can even draw blood - nothing too vital, Mewtwo twitches out of the way of anything that would pierce organs, but blood nonetheless.
But once they do, Sho will find an edge of not-quite-metal tucked up under his chin, making any further lunging a dangerous prospect. The sides of spoons aren't generally known for being very sharp, but Sho's seen Mewtwo slice targets into clean pieces with the odd psychic weapon.
...Good game?]

Still, he hit long enough to well up blood and certainly bruise. Nothing too bad. And that spoon makes him crane his head back, laughing nervously. Only a few months ago he woulda been screaming and yeowling, so it's a step up

Heh, guess I'll let you off for now.

It rolls to stand, and as it walks past him towards the edge of the room, it gives Sho a smirk and a slow nod of acknowledgement. That was fun, and worth the time and energy.
It takes a seat on a stack of mats by the walls, feet tucked under it and tail curled around its side, apparently to just watch whatever Sho will get up to now that their spar is over.]

Man, if they let me have real swords I totally woulda taken your arm off!
[If that was the case he never would have gotten close enough to do so]
...BEFORE SLEEP, I SAID
Most of Mewtwo's interactions are like this. It doesn't talk - can't, as far as most around here know - but it's clearly intelligent, and it clearly listens, and the longer it spends in close quarters with humans the more communicative it becomes, little by little. It still takes a certain familiarity with Mewtwo's expressions to fully understand him, but...
It's getting along. It's strange. It hadn't needed to communicate for most of its life, and once it was relevant, there was telepathy. But telepathy was like touching a bare nerve to someone, suitable for a high-stakes battle fought beside Red, less suitable for a compound full of the strangest beings Mewtwo had ever known. (Yes, counting the actual alien Pokemon.) So now there was this new kind of communication bubbling up to fill the void, the way working with a trainer had come to it after it was caught, and the way telepathy had surfaced after it felt the faraway touch of purifying flame and flew away from Cinnabar to find itself alone for the very first time.
It really wasn't that bad.
Mewtwo tips its head back, closing its eyes, as though gently scoffing at the claim. They'll have to see - Sho is restricted here, it knows. They'll find a proper battlefield, somewhere out there in another world, and it'll see just how much of its power Sho can really stand up to. He'll have real swords then.]
